John EdwardARCHBOLDPassed away on 8th September, aged 100, surrounded by his daughter, granddaughter, grandson and son-in-law. Much loved father of Fiona, father-in-law of Nick and grandad of Anna and Alex, he will be very much missed. John's funeral will be held at 11am on Wednesday 1st October at Mountsett Crematorium, Ewehurst Road, Dipton, Stanley, County Durham, DH9 9JP. Please no flowers. John, you were a fiercely independent man but an amazing protector of Moyah. So hard on the outside but underneath you had the kindest softest heart ever. I shall always feel lucky that you took to me and let me become a part of your world. You became my strongest supporter. Some of my favourite times were the debates we had, your knowledge on everything was amazing, I learned more from you than you could possibly have imagined, an inspiration for sure. So many fascinating life stories. Thank you so much for trusting me. I have so many wonderful memories. May you rest in eternal peace you have truly earned it. Kath Cowell.
